TRAVESSIA SERRA DA ARRÁBIDA - PENISULA DE TRÓIA
O voo entre a Serra Da Arrábida e a península de Tróia, foi sempre desejado por todos os pilotos de voo livre que conhecem a referida serra.
Ontem dia 13 de Março, segundo a meteorologia o mau tempo e a chuva seria mais do que muita, mas a verdade é que mais uma vez e contrariando as previsões, a serra Da Arrábida foi o palco magico do voo livre, assim sendo, dois pilotos (Eduardo Lagoa e Nuno Girão), decidiram tornar a tarde mais interessante, e fizeram a tão desejada travessia, deixando os restantes pilotos no local, com uma inveja que so vai ser compensada quando fizerem a mesma façanha.

BAPTISMO DE VOO DE MARGARIDA COELHO
Margarida Coelho, fisioterapeuta, aventureira, destemida, moradora na Figueira Da Foz, no dia 10 de Fevereiro, decidiu deslocar-se até a Serra Da Arrábida (Setúbal) para comemorar mais intensamente seu aniversário. Fazer um voo em parapente era seu desejo, e seus pais foram os responsáveis pela realização desse desejo.

TRANSARRÁBIDA 2011- MAIS 2 DIAS DE SUCESSO E DIVERSÃO
Nos dias 15 e 16 foi realizado mais um TransArrábida, organizado pela AVLS (associação de voo livre de Sintra). Foi simplesmente um sucesso, a adesão foi grande e o tempo foi nosso amigo. Sem mais conversa, aqui vai um vídeo, do grande director, actor, realizador editor e mais algumas coisas, meu irmão Paulo Reis.

TRANSARRÁBIDA 2011
Muita aventura e grande emoção com mais um Raid TransArrabida, despedida das actividade de 2010, e dar inicio a mais um ano de grandes actividades e grandes aventuras.
O TransArrabida decorre nos dias 15 e 16 de Janeiro, a Serra da Arrábida é o palco para esta actividade composta por quatro disciplinas, Btt, Canoagem, percurso Pedestre e Parapente.
O Raid será dividido em dois dias, com duas modalidades por dia, com inicio pela manhã e a terminar ao final do dia.
Será importante fazer-se acompanhar de equipamento de Voo, bicicleta e seus acessórios, uma boa bota de caminhada. Todo o equipamento para a canoagem é fornecido pela organização (canoa,fato de água,colete,etc..)

Lots of great adventure and excitement over a Raid TransArrabida, farewell activity of 2010 and to commence another year of great activities and great adventures.
The TransArrabida runs on 15 and January 16, the Capuchin Convent is the venue for this activity consists of four courses, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, hiking and paragliding.
The raid will be split into two days, with two forms per day with early morning and end at the end of the day.
It is important to be accompanied Flight equipment, bicycles and accessories, a good hiking boot. All equipment for kayaking is provided by the organization (canoe, because water, jacket, etc. ..)

O CÉU É O LIMITE - NOVAS ACROBACIAS NO PARAPENTE / THE SKY IS THE LIMIT -NEW ACROBATIC MANUVERS IN PARAGLIDING
No fim de 2004, o mestre das acrobacias em parapente, o espanhol Raul Rodriguez, apareceu com mais uma invenção. Depois de desenvolver a maioria das manobras realizadas até então, ele chegou ao que parecia impossível: O Infinity Tumbling. Na época, só ele e o irmão, Félix, conseguiam realizar a acrobacia. O Tumbling é uma manobra conhecida na aviação e, no caso do parapente, consiste em fazer o velame avançar à frente até chegar ao ponto de passar por baixo do piloto e completar a volta. No Infinity, esse movimento repete-se inúmeras vezes, como se o piloto estivesse "pulando corda" com o parapente. Já em 2005, a manobra parecia sair com extrema facilidade e Raul estabeleceu um primeiro recorde, completando 60 voltas durante o Acrolac, na França. Para entender melhor a manobra, como ela surgiu e este primeiro recorde veja o vídeo abaixo:

After developing most of the maneuvers performed by then, he came to what seemed impossible: Infinity Tumbling. At the time, only he and his brother, Felix, could perform acrobatics. The Tumbling is a maneuver known in aviation and in the case of the glider is to make the canopy move ahead until you reach the point of passing beneath the pilot and complete the round. At Infinity, this movement is repeated several times, as if the pilot were "jumping rope" with the paraglider. By 2005, the move seemed to come very easily and Raul set a first record, completing 60 laps during the Acrolac, France. Em 2009, o espanhol Horácio Llorens, primo de Raul Rodriguez, foi além. Seguiu até o Nepal para chegar ao limite. Num grande projeto, que incluiu a produção de um vídeo documentário com os incríveis visuais e cultura local, Horacio chegou à impressionante marca de 281 voltas para estabelecer o novo recorde mundial. E o que só parecia há algum tempo foi comprovado nos últimos anos. Ao ingressar para o seleto grupo de pilotos que conseguiam completar o Infinity Tumbling com segurança, Pal Tákats diferenciou-se da maioria e começou a ganhar mais destaque nas competições. Em 2010, mostrou domínio total da manobra e marcou seu nome na história ao ser o primeiro piloto, junto com seu parceiro Gabor, a realizar o Infinity Tumbling num vôo duplo. Veja no vídeo:
Ainda não contente com a ampla divulgação e o ineditismo do feito, Pal seguiu sua busca pela evolução. Em Outubro deste ano fez o que todos imaginavam ser possível, mas ninguém ainda havia tentado. Logo que surgiu, o Infinity Tumbling era uma evolução da manobra mais básica da nova geração de acrobacias, o SAT. Então, quando viram que era possível partir de um SAT, seguir para um SAT assimétrico e chegar ao Infinity, imaginaram que também seria possível fazer o inverso. Do Infinity Tumbling, voltar para um SAT só que para outro lado, num movimento anti-rítmico em que o ângulo do velame no Infinity vai sendo alterado, sem perder energia para continuar "dando voltas" por baixo do piloto. Nos últimos cinco ou seis anos esse pensamento provavelmente habitou a mente dos principais pilotos de acrobacia do mundo, mas o risco envolvido numa tentativa de fazer essa conexão de manobras fez com que ninguém a tentasse… Até 22 de Outubro de 2010, quando Pal Tákats mais uma vez provou ter a acrobacia correndo solta nas veias. Em Oludeniz, na Turquia, o húngaro completou pela primeira vez a manobra batizada de "Esfera". Uma conexão de SAT para outro SAT do lado inverso, com um Infinity Tumbling no meio. Fácil, fácil! SAT, LA MANIOBRA
Te presentamos por primera vez online el video que mostró al mundo la revolucionaria maniobra SAT, que marcó un antes y un después en la acrobacia de parapente. Grabado en 1999, ha pasado más de una década como uno de los videos referencia de nuestro deporte. En 1999, durante un viaje de aventuras a Chile, el Equipo SAT, precursor del Acro en parapente, creo este video para difundir la nueva maniobra SAT creada por el carismático piloto español Raúl Rodríguez. Esta maniobra fue la semilla e impulsora de la acrobacia en parapente, dando un importante salto en la concepción de la acrobacia pues permitía abrir todo un nuevo repertorio de maniobras encadenadas a partir de esa especie de barrena en reversa que es el SAT y que salió casi sin querer. El video fue dirigido por Raúl y Daniel Crespo (Ojovolador). We present the first online video that showed the world the revolutionary SAT maneuver, which marked a before and after in the acrobatics of paragliding. Recorded in 1999, has spent more than a decade as one of the videos referred to our sport. In 1999, during an adventure trip to Chile, the SAT team, the precursor of Acro paragliding, created this video to publicize the new SAT maneuver created by the charismatic Spanish pilot, Raul Rodriguez. A RTP 2 E NOSSO DESPORTO
Aqui esta uma boa reportagem sobre o parapente em Portugal, estamos no bom caminho, e espero que não fique por aqui a cobertura, difusão e incentivo que os meios de comunicação possam proporcionar ao nosso desporto, que tanto necessita de ser conhecido e praticado. BAPTISMO DE VOO DE ASSUNÇÃO
No ultimo fim de semana, tive a felicidade de fazer o baptismo de voo de uma criança de 11 anos, essa criança chama-se Assunção, é muito alegre, muito divertida, muito extrovertida e provou de forma categórica que o voo livre, (parapente) não é só para os corajosos, destemido e musculados machos. Foi um dos melhores baptismo de voo que eu já fiz.
